Who
is Noho?
|

| Noho is a "local boy" of Hawaiian, Portuguese and Italian descent born and raised in Hawaii. He spent his summers helping his grandfather on his ranch on Maui, where he worked up big appetites and developed a love for traditional, home-style cooking that he and the other ranch hands ate. When he moved to Oregon in the early 90's he decided to bring a little bit of paradise to us by recreating tropical recipes passed along through the generations. As word got out, his reputation for heaping portions of delicious food served with island-style hospitality grew. |  |

Today there are two Noho's Hawaiian Cafe restaurants in Oregon, one in Portland, and another in Medford. Noho also provides catering for events ranging from private parties to weddings and corporate picnics. Even with the growth of the business, most days Noho can be found as the first Portland restaurant on S.E. Clinton Street visiting with customers who quickly become old friends. |
